We want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. Now we know many folks are looking forward to the New Year but we have a few requests to start the year off right.

If you choose to do anything that might impair your abilty to drive or get so impaired you can't operate a wheel barrow PLEASE get a ride. Call Uber, Lyft, a cab, your cousin or better yet just crash on your friends couch. Trust us when we say we haven't met anyone that just loves to ride in the back of one of our cars handcuffed after a long night of partying. Save us the time and yourself alot of problems.

We also know that we have some folks that just HAVE to shoot off fireworks. We get it they are awesome to watch and everyone in the neighborhood expects you to shoot them off. Just be respectful and limit the amount you shoot for the sake of your neighbors and pets who run into the next county over when the loud booms go off.

We apprecite all the support you give and we look foward to an awesome New Year. Oh and GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barrow County Sheriff's Office added 20 new photos.

Our favorite time of the year is upon us. This past Saturday the Sheriff's Office along with the City of Winder Police Department had our annual Christmas with a Cop event . We are proud to say we took 40 local children shopping this year. The day was filled with laughter, tears, and fun for us as well as the children. The Deputies and Officers volunteer their time to brighten the precious children every year. We would like to thank the following for their help this year.

Walmart, Calvary Baptist Church WMS, Waffle House, Jim and Darlene Townsend, Neil's Auto, BRP, Roger Wehunt, Terry England, Billy Butler, Pat Russell Famliy, Krav Maga, Barrow County DA's Office, David and Rita Aderhold, First Baptist Winder, Bethlehem Church, Georgia Farm Bureau Employees, Logo Surfing, Mark and Kathy Hall, Stanley and Linda Page, Laura and Thomas Vooris, Walton/Barrow Board of Realtors, Connie Page Moreshead, Jeffery and Kimberly McKinstry, Brwon and Brown, Winder Citizens Police Academy Alumni, and The Princess Dairies.

The generous monetary donations and volunteer time from these people and organizations made this year and every year possible for our local children. We cannot THANK YOU enough. Merry Christmas to everyone we appreciate your support now and throughout the year.
