{"id":104,"date":"2016-09-28T13:46:50","date_gmt":"2016-09-28T13:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.barrowsheriff.com\/home\/?page_id=104"},"modified":"2021-06-10T09:09:03","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T13:09:03","slug":"book-magazine-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.barrowsheriff.com\/home\/detention-bureau\/book-magazine-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Book &#038; Magazine Donations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00b7 Books and magazines are accepted 7 days a week for donation<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 No HARDBACK BOOKS are accepted, ONLY paperbacks<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 No individual books, Bibles or magazines for individual inmates are accepted under the library policy<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 All paperback Bibles are accepted for distribution for all inmates of the Detention Center.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Religious books for other religions such as the Qur&#8217;an and the Tanakh, for example, are also accepted in\u00a0paperback form.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Educational, Self-help and Hispanic written books are also welcome.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 No books or magazines that contain any of the following will be allowed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NUDITY<\/li>\n<li>SEX<\/li>\n<li>HOW TO MANUFACTURE OR BUY WEAPONS<\/li>\n<li>ANY DISPARAGING CRIMES-NON FICTION<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any questions\/concerns pertaining to this policy can be directed to Detention Officer Kelsey Robinson @ 770-307-3080 X 3981.
