Today, the Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the Barrow County Cooperative Benevolence Ministry (BCCBM) to assist individuals facing food insecurities. BCCBM runs the Barrow County Food Pantry and offers a monthly outdoor food distribution at Holly Hill Mall.

The outdoor food distribution occurs on the fourth Thursday of each month. This service is provided free of charge to those in need, funded by donations from local churches and various organizations.

The Sheriff’s Office is blessed to be able to sponsor this month's outdoor food distribution service. Our team also enjoyed participating in the food distribution alongside BCCBM this morning.
If you or your organization would like more information on how to become a sponsor, please visit the links below or contact Sandra Alred at sealred52@gmail.com.

***LOCATED SAFE***

Thank you to Chad Barrett with Pulte Group who recently donated money in support of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office through the Qualified Law Enforcement Foundation program. The program, which allows individuals and businesses to designate their state income tax to support qualifying law enforcement foundations, enhances the agency’s ability to conduct their day-to-day operations. Most donations received so far have come from local companies; however, like Chad with the Pulte Group, anyone in the state can get pre-approved for a portion of their state taxes to be allocated to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Foundation.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office is one of 37 qualified law enforcement foundations in Georgia. Citizens and businesses can choose to defer their state taxes, or a portion thereof, to any of the qualified foundations in the state.
